It does the double duty of complaining how bad they have it and bragging with how irresistable they are.

@crow8173 A bear 100% finds pleasure in both eating you and killing you bcs it doesn't like you. If you were actually lost in the forest, the elation upon encountering a person - any person - can't be expressed in words. It's as if you were falling off a cliff and suddenly found yourself safely on firm ground again.

Obviously they don't. They are surrounded by men all the time, yet they don't kill themselves. They could go out to the bear, yet they don't. If you speak in such hyperbolic and vile terms trying to victimize yourself, I lose all sympathy. At that point it becomes a mere power grab.

I don't know where you get those facts from. 35mph is 56km/h and 2 miles is 3.2 km. That's insane. 2.5 times the strength of humans in what movement? Grizzlies vary a lot in size, but the first number I see for males is 270kg. It would be really weird if they were only 2.5 times as strong as humans in most of the movements they can perform.

For real though: why do they make jars like that?

@Shadowiff There is nothing to outplay, if the bear wants to kill them, it will. Being found by anyone from any culture whatsoever is preferable to being lost in the forest alone, let alone come across a bear. People have often been rescued by the most backwards tribesmen, who doubtlessly had a horrible culture, but they still helped out a stranger.

Now ask whether they would like to encounter a black man or a bear and see how the answers change.

They would cry out to the closest man upon encountering a raccoon, let alone a bear.
