  40. All of the technology you see in the video already exists in stickshift cars. Turn on lane assist and adaptive cruise control and your car is just as autonomous as his one. As for autonomous cars in general, it would be better just to simulate the stickshift, otherwise you have a lot of unnecessary mechanical parts, that can break.

Anyone can "implement artificial intelligence" just like anyone can swing a sword or pull the strings on a guitar. That doesn't make you a great swordsman or musician though. What do you think Google, Tesla, Facebook, Volkswagen, Volvo, Renault, etc are doing anyways? They are all of course "implementing artificial intelligence". Only that they actually innovate rather than just turning on cruise control on the highway.
