  2. The mother is an accomplice in just the same way as all of the German staff and soliders that helped to put people into concentration camps. That they didn't know precisely what was going on doesn't even matter. Actually it makes it worse, because even worse things could have been going on.

  3. It's not true at all that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. If there was a gun that was completely non-lethal, it would be the most effective and sought after weapon in the world. You'd weaken your enemies much more than by simply killing people.
