  1. School stops long, long before you get to quantum mechanics or "higher mathematics". It's hard to tell who "needs to understand" maths when they are ten.

  2. You won't always have joy and passion available and often you have to learn things you don't care about to understand other things you do care about.

  3. This is the first critical comment I see about this. Lots of Germans want to get rid off the early separation, although it is possible to switch later.
