  1. You're directly contradicting yourself. They can't even make the sword straight because their methods are so poor.

  2.  @hayek218  Because traditionally made katana have inferior steel to Western swords, they're heavy for their length. Sharpness has nothing to do with the blacksmithing. You can sharpen up any piece of iron as much as you like - doesn't make it a good sword.
