  5. So you think allowing democratic opposition and discontinuing a war when it stops being backed by the population, is "losing"? Being stubborn and tyrannical is winning? Well in the end, democracy won, despite of the tendency of democratic countries to discontinue wars.

  8. They gave up because of internal resistance. In a way they "lost", because the USA was a democracy allowing disagreement, while the USSR wasn't.

  11. "Self determination" = being ruled by communist dictators? Well I see that the brainwashing has worked out. You identify the dictatorship with all of Vietnam. I rather have a puppet government, under which I am free than a puppet government, which wants to control my every thought.
