  1. The Y chromosome can be expressed to different degrees. Basically the female phenotype is the default and the expression of the Y chromosome leads to the development of masculine characteristics. In the extreme case and individual can have a Y chromosome, but look 100% feminine from the outside. They're a woman in all senses except they're infertile. There's even been a case in which an XY individual became a surrogate mother.

  2. Bcs that's not the rule at the Olympics. And at this point we don't know for certain that she has a Y chromsome. Besides, you can be XY and look 100% like a woman from the outside. Literally every trait you can find is typically feminine. But you got a Y chromsome in all of your cells and you don't have egg cells.

  3.  @ZolAkechi  If she has a Y chromosome, she's probably infertile. She might be able to give birth as a surrogate mother though, as this kind of thing happened before.

  4. Male and female are discrete categories. You can't be more or less male. If you reproduce via sperm, you're male. If you reproduce via egg cells, you are female.
