In any way people are fat bcs their body signals more hunger / apetite. All other factors are secondary and indirect. A person with low hunger and apetite will undereat when stressed or out of time or out of discipline or whatever.

Yep, your mind is part of the weight regulation. It's how your body gets to it's desired size: to make you eat more or less and move more or less. Putting the setpoint somewhere else consequently changes your mind. If you tried to be at -5degrees celsius all the time, that'd be very uncomfortable, because your body constantly signals you to warm up. Same goes for eating.

@normamimosa5991 It's not a dysfunction, it's a different setpoint for hunger and appetite, part of natural variation. In some situations it's better to have more appetite, in others it's better to have less. That's why a range of settings are extant in the population.

@3mrtxll3 Your attitude is literally the ENTIRE problem. Being at a healthy weight shouldn't be a herculean effort. There isn't a lack of problems for you to solve. Ozempic and drugs like it 100% solve obesity. Obesity isn't a problem anymore and some of you guys are super mad about that.
2
It does change your "lifestyle". That's the way it works. It makes people lose fat by making them change what they eat.

>will indeed lose that weight, without having to lift a finger You rather have people die, because you're so obsessed with your own personal pride. You're an insane person. >It doesn’t change the inside of you now that you’re skinny. You want people to suffer and die from obesity, because you want to feel superior towards obese people. You're totally lost in delusion. >, you’ll still have a weak heart, lungs, clogged arteries, No, you won't. Also you have more time and leasure to address any other problems in your life now that obesity isn't a problem anymore. >You must instill good lifestyle habits The drug DOES instill good lifestyle habits. You're a hateful moron and maximally removed from anything that could be called a good lifestyle. Your entire world revolves around your personal pride and everything else is sacrificed to it.
1
@Dbails-wu6gu No. Obesity is 100% solved now. And even better drugs are on the horizon. You can cope and seethe all you want, but very soon no one will be obese anymore. I know that no one suffering and dying from obesity must seem like a world ending catastrophy for you, because your entire identity is based on distinguishing yourself from fat ppl.

@orphanedhanyou If your metabolism is destroyed, you're dead.
1
She's completely full of shit. Dieting will also affect your gut in the same way. If you're "very" overweight, you should be on ozempic or sth similar. Your doctor is basically letting you burn to death, because extinguishing you would make you wet.
1
Yep and even better ones are on the horizon. Obesity is 100% solved imo. The prices will go down soon and I expect nobody to suffer from obesity in 10 years.
1
@spqrveteran Your notion of "self control" is complete nonsense. You're an arrogant moron completely lost in delusions about personal dominance, everything is a bragging competition to you. You'd rather have people die prematurely, because you're so in love with your pride of not being obese. Obesity is 100% solved by ozempic and co precisely because it puts everyone on the level of hunger signaling that YOU have naturally. Modern medicine poops into your worldview of arrogance and pride.
1
As far as I'm concerned, obesity is no longer a problem. The side effects of ozempic are minimal and even better drugs are on the horizon. Obesity is 100% solved.
1
You're the problem. We have more than enough evidence for the safety of ozempic and co. And we have all the evidence of how damaging obesity is. Your obession with personal pride and accomplishment is killing people. People die, because others fearmonger about those lifesaving drugs.
1
@dievergete Total bullshit. I lost 10kg for a tournament and it was very easy for me. Because that's simply how my body works. How my hunger signaling works and how my body reacts to changes in bodyfat. All ozempic does is put the satiety signaling of a fat person like you on the same level as a person like me. All the "side effects" is what lean people naturally have.
1
>As was pointed out, muscle will be lost as well as some fat That's a result of eating less and has absolutely nothing to do with the drug. >I'm going to go back to resistance training. What kind of idiotic statement is that? You should be resistance training while dieting down anyways. Doesn't matter if it's with ozempic or not. > I have never liked the idea of a lifetime of medication All it does is set your level of apetite to the level someone else somewhere has.
1
Pretty much all of the side effects are what you'd get from a change in diet anyways.
1
@DanteV4lerio You can travel from Lisbon to Hanoi on foot rather than by plane. But when one insists on doing so for a business meeting, one would correctly be judged as completely insane. In the same way your anti-drug mindset is completely insane.
1
@zoraknme Yep, literally all the drug does is to set ppl's apetite and hunger signaling to the level plenty of other people naturally have. If you're fundamentally gainst ozempic and co, you should take a drug that diminishes your hunger signaling.
1
@CeleWolf Diet 100% works. That's why ozempic works: it changes how much you eat.
1
@YourMuvva 93kg is a shit ton for a woman. Even a 180cm one unless she's very muscular. The side effects are barely worth mentioning. Anyone who can afford it and wants to lose weight should use drugs like ozempic.

The medication leads to a "lifestyle modification". That's how it works. If you're for "lifestyle modification", you're for the medication.
