Yes, that's the point of the surgery. Making it harder to eat a lot.

??? The surgery makes it literally impossible to binge eat. The entire point of the surgery is to make a behavior change guaranteed.

>is only eating when you are hungry Lots of fat people are hungry all the time. >Hunger is being low on energy / dizzy / unable to think clearly / sleepy, thats when you eat. Lol. Yeah, I, too, eat every third day.

Being fat is always a medical issue. Giving up 80% of your stomach is about as much taking of responsibility as possible.

@brackguthrie9470 >Many people get gastric sleeve and do not address the behavioral aspects of obesity. Isn't the entire point of the surgery to force a behavioral change? If you still have to "address behavioral aspects", what is the point?
1
@brackguthrie9470 It forces the behavioral change of eating less. You physically can't eat as much as before. It's also not true that there's some grand psychological story behind everything. Some people just have more apetite. And if you can get to the "psychological roots" of stuff, what's the point of surgery? You can fix all kinds of issues directly if you have the "psychological root".
1
@brackguthrie9470 You didn't understand anything I said. I said some people just have more apptetite, not that that explains all fat people. You're the one asserting that all fat people have some "relationship with food" that needs readjustment and that that happens through "psychological roots". If you have "psychological roots", what's the point of surgery?

Can you also get your stomach enlarged? Would be awesome for athletes.

Those are all great things to eat. And carbs are super important for muscle growth and performance.
1
@3cardmonty602 Yeah, bullshit. Have you measured your strength and endurance with and without carb feeding before?

Giving up 80% of your stomach sounds like too much willpower to me.

Diagnosis: Overeating Treatment: Remove 80% of stomach

>are very obese because of emotional eating, nothing to do with whether or not they feel full or are With a small stomach they will emotionally eat less.

Homeless people should just buy houses, duh.

Probably nocebo. The surgery shouldn't affect the brain.
