  3.  @Rotisiv  The writers of the Torah made up the fall from monotheism. In reality they were the innovators, trying to win people over from polytheism. What evidence is there outside of the bible for monotheistic hebrews much prior to the Babylonian exile?

  7. That doesn't have to be explained. That's not a hard idea to come up with. I hate it when people take some modern form of a myth and make up explanation for how people could have mixed sth up with sth else. More likely that myth was inspired by an earlier different myth, which was again inspired by some story and so on.
