How does it matter that Iraq was a sovereign country?! Do you think the sovereignty of the state is more important the the lives of the citizens?

K1productions "Iraq was one of the biggest enemies of the Islamic terror groups" The government of Iraq was not an enemy of any terror group, which didn't threaten it's own power. In fact in Iraq and the region the people were terrorized by Hussein and his henchmen. "stabilizing force in the region keeping the whole damned thing from collapsing" What has collapsed? I think you suffer from an illusion, because you have heard about the wars after Hussein was overthrown, but not of the cruelties and genocide that took place WHILE Hussein reigned. "then how do you justify us remaining chummy chummy with Saudi Arabia" Why do you think I have any sympathy for Saudi Arabia? Do you want to diminish the suffering of the Iraqi Kurds by pointing fingers at the relationship of Western powers to Saudi Arabia? Now you are grasping straws. "guilty of everything that anyone blamed Iraq" No. Members of the Saudi elite have funded terrorism, but they have not committed genocide or invaded other countries. "They see how much this worked to the establishment Republican agenda, so they want to ensure MORE terrorist threat" You vastly overestimate both the intelligence of Republicans and their power. The Middle East and Northern Africa have complex feuds of their own. They are not entirely a product of Western politics. "The country became a power vacuum, to be filled with more radicalized Islamic groups." There were insurgencies of former followers of Hussein trying to REGAIN their power. "but that its overthrow ENSURED the rise of terrorism, paid for by Mr. and Mrs. American Taxpayer." You really don't care about anything but America, hm? You don't give a fuck how much people in the Middle East suffer as long as there is no terrorism in the West?

K1productions "Iraq and the major terrorist groups were of the opposite Islamic sect" No. The IS are Sunnis just like the ruling class under Hussein. Even "moderates" of the leaders under Hussein joined the IS in order to oppose the Shiites. "The only major power keeping the major groups in check." So you call torture and genocide "in check"? Could you be any more selfish?

K1productions "and you are telling me there isn't torture and genocide happening today?" No, I haven't. You lack clarity of thought it seems. "You see "ooh he is a bad guy" and nothing else" No, I'm reminding you that there was horrible suffering before the Golf Wars. Something you seem to be either ignorant of or deny. "forgetting that things have gotten WORSE" No, I haven't. How is that related to Iraq being a "sovereign" country? If you argue like that, there is absolutely nothing wrong and I wouldn't even post a reply. But that's not the case. What Kyle keeps repeating is the sovereignty of Iraq. "How is it selfish?" Your argument from terrorism is an indicator of selfishness. The IS attacks the West and therefore we must support any and all dictators, who keep anti-Western forces at bay....

K1productions "how typically conservative." I'm the most progressive guy, I've ever met. How am I conservative in your mind?

K1productions "The fact that somehow you think the Iraq war was a GOOD thing." When have I said so? O_o "interference has caused an even BIGGER problem" Well that is not what Kyle or you were talking about. If you would be precise like that, it would have been no problem for me and you'd never heard of me. But now I'd like to point out that more precisely the WITHDRAWAL of the USA was the problem. Iraq was haunted by Insurgencies, the Iraqi people needed the US Army to defend them. However they withdrew with the Iraqi army in a pitiful state and the government partial to the Shiites. Regions of conflict like this need LONG term plans and long term military engagement. And that's why I was against the war - no proper long term plan. However sitting on your hands and doing nothing is morally abhorrent.
