  2. Why? If people do criticize Islam they can pack Christianity in there too. When people do criticize Islam, that's already victory. Also this prevents the "your religion is just as bad"- defense.

  3. Time for Fun "Your religion is just as bad" - defense incoming... I recently argued with a couple of Muslims in person. The occasion was a conservative Christian group campaigning against a cultural center for Muslims in Munich. When I challenged a Muslim girl from Germany and a man from Iraq on their religion, they soon pointed at the atrocities in the bible, expecting me to be a Christian. When they found out that I was an Atheist, they were stunned and hard put to come up with any new excuses. It can be very helpful to criticize both at once - at least here in Germany.

In the European Middle ages we corrupted the 'religious institution' by making it more and more about love and less about tribal strength and economics. What is marriage according to our holy books? It is a method to attain power for yourself and your tribe. Nowadays marriage has NOTHING to do with these holy books and is about love. Therefore homosexuals should be able to marry just like everyone else.

  5. After all the shit Milo talked he got suspended for speaking out against the single most harmful ideology in the world today?! Now that is dark. EDIT: The Islam - Cancer thing isn't so easy. There is more and less severe forms of both. I'd definitely prefer my children to have a benign skin cancer over Islam.

  6. Syko216 I criticize Islam at every occasion. Just recently I argued against a German Muslim girl and a Kurd from Northern Iraq on the street in Munich. Islam is the most harmful ideology in the world today. That doesn't make any other form of conservatism better, though. The OC obviously has a problem with "progressives" and "liberals" - therefore he is opposing social and technological progress as well as personal liberty - giving the excuse that certain left wingers fail to criticize Islam or even support it. I think you are confusing a couple of terms here. There is general worldviews / political outlook: conservatism <-> progressivism Then there is the economical position: capitalism (right) <-> socialism (left) And the social ideology: authoritarian <-> liberal The left wingers, who side with Islamists against the West, are certainly no liberals or progressives.
