Yeah - once I witnessed two thugs of rivaling gangs talking: One said: "Your dignity inviolable and noone has the right to infringe on the freedom of a living creature" And then the other said: "However ones freedom ends where the freedom of the other begins". And then they shot eachother death. Liberalism is clearly the problem.

  2. +Chris Turnblom So we shouldn't use the word "fruit" either, because different people have different concepts of fruits and we should rather look at these plant components individually rather than lumping them together?! Your position is utter madness. Just because some people use words the wrong way doesn't mean we can't have collective terms. Terms for groups of peoples or things.

That has nothing to do with "understanding the concept of the straw man fallacy". Anyways my point stands. Your comment could be applied to ANY word that describes a group of things. Do you want us to stop using these words?

  4. Chris Turnblom I'm saying that you should be careful arguing this way. I see it everywhere, but you ignore the usefulness of collective terms, of words for groups of people or things.
