When Russian gangs roam your streets and beat up homosexuals and political dissenters will you still be happy with yielding EVERYTHING? If you really wanted to prevent a war, you would be for the most stringent economical and political sanctions. You don't stop an aggressor by giving him everything he wants. Are you people seriously that stupid? Can't you see that the Russian government is testing what it can get away with? I thought that was bloody obvious. And as it seems noone has learned from WW2 either.

  5. Fábio Bruno How is it sending people to war when you shoot down a bomber? Putin might not be the best politician, but he's not a lunatic. When he meets resistance, he will stop his aggression. And that resistance must be economical, political and military. I find it quite astonishing how most media outlets pretend that EU countries, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia and Iran all have similar goals in Syria, when really they are indirectly in war with eachother. Germany and the USA support Kurds, while Turkey sabotages them. NATO fighers support rebels, while Russia helps Assad in slaughtering his own people. I'm unsure of whether it is good that almost noone acknowledges that we are basically already at war with eachother.

  9. +Nikaan Matthew Russia is helping the Assad regime and bombing civilians, rebels and Turkmens. Turkey is trying to sabotage the kurds. The Western and Arabian allies were aiding the Syrian people against the minority government, but they are now blocked by Russian anti air defense. Russia has taken a stance against the free world and noone wants to acknowledge that outsiders are on OPPOSITE SIDES in the Syrian conflict. The media is talking about people finding a common solution. And noone talks about people having fundamentally different goals. European nations, Saudi Arabia, etc want to get rid off Assad. Russia wants to keep Assad with all of their force. The USA, Germany, etc have supported the Kurds. Turkey fears nothing more than strong, connected Kurdish regions. We are at war with eachother. Already. Maybe it's good that noone acknowledges it.
