  3. Klas Wullt That's a blatant lie.. While the USA breeds it's own criminals in the chaotic cruelty of their prisons,  repeat offenders are especially rare in Scandinavia. And even if Sweden had failed, that would not change anything from the fundamental fact that rehabilitation makes sense, but vengeance does not.

  6. +Z4RQUON It's not only America. We all feel shame, pride and hate very strongly. There is a huge difference for us in whether we are attacked by a bear or a person. The latter wakens the unbearable urge to take revenge and can lead to long term psychological harm. Yet revenge is, as right as it seems, entirely unreasonable and we must rather heal people than punish them.
