Imagine calling yourself "Heinrich Himmler" and propagating the innocent Wehrmacht myth.

The_Jaguar_ Knight It's a response to this: "Yes! In a totalitarian state, all a principled stand can ever achieve is a short-lived uprising of one...." There were plenty of principled stances and the Nazis often gave up when civilians stood up to them. Also regarding your other point: Perhaps you should persuade the Nazis that they are really left wing, because they seem to have gotten that confused. Their concentration camps were filled with communists and democrats and not conservatives or monarchists.

@Arcanespaghetti I would say corporatist rather than capitalist. They saw private industry as an efficient way to strengthen the Volksgemeinschaft and were very hostile towards free commerce in general. Of course those, who lump them with (Marxist) socialists, should go and speak to actual Nazis and convince them that they are to be lumped with communists.
3
He refered to them by the roles they were playing. He even said so in the video, you dunce.
3
@aidanlutz8106 Nazi Germany literally attacked countries one by one and terrorized people therein. I don't see how that is "confusing" to you. It's literally the least confusing a war could possibly be.
3
@froge4895 Yes, that is precisely where the irony lies.
3
@yashiorist3642 The Wehrmacht made all of the Nazi atrocities possible. The SS would be nothing without the rest of the army. Not only did they "get along", they intimately cooperated in disarming and terrorizing populations.
2
What makes you think that?
2
@kaiserfranz9011 Yeah calling SS members monsters is insulting to monsters.
2
The_Jaguar_ Knight Only you were never forced to join the SS. And within the SS you were never forced to participate in the concentration camps. And plenty of groups successfully resisted Nazi policies.
2
No, he's referring to them by their role. He even points that out in the video.

No one ever said it was a "sinister pastime" besides you.

It's not a virtue to be particularly determined to do something bad or to be very skilled at it. Of course not every single Waffen-SS member killed civilians personally, but they all contributed to the Nazi regime being able to do so in the first place. When you're a solider of the mafia, doing your darnest to help the mafia, all of what the mafia does is your responsibility.
1
They do. And you just called them Soviets rather than Russians. Pretty much the same as saying Nazi rather than German.
1
"Normal German soldiers" are who faciliated the Nazi atrocities. Without "normal German soldiers" there would have been no Nazi atrocities outside of Germany.
1
@tommasoguandalini2256 >Many soldiers who fought for the Germans during WW2 weren't even subscribed to the Nazi Party I guess if you're killed by a mafia hitman it doesn't count if the hitman doesn't have a mafia membership card. What an idiotic argument is that? If anything it's worse that they fought the Nazi's war of conquest and destruction without even having a duty towards party members. >General Erwin Rommel Helped the Nazis to commit their atrocities, like all other generals. A particularly skilled serial killer doesn't get better by being skilled. Rommel's successes bought time that his peers used to rape, torture and murder more people.
1
I don't see the problem with this. Refering to them as Nazis is accurate. Even more accurate than refering to them by a country. A river or rock in Germany didn't start the war, but the Nazi party. Similarly it'd be better to refer to Union soldiers as "Lincolnites" rather than "Yankies".
1
@Divinemakyr At some point during typing this you should have noticed how pathetic you sound.
1
@KINGFISHOL Perhaps you should watch the video rather than just reading comments and repeating what others said. He never says that they are Nazis. He refers to them by their role.
1
Well getting defensive over the Wehrmacht being associated with Nazis is rather similar to getting defensive over the Confederacy being associated with slavery. Play whoever you want, but don't romanticize them. The Wehrmacht fought for Nazi goals under a Nazi leadership and without them most of the mass murders and other atrocities would not have taken place.
1
When you join the marines, you are taking responsibility for the policies, the good and the bad that the USA are doing. When you join the SS, you are helping the Nazis in all of their atrocities. >for a better future A better future for the Nazis is one in which they rape Slavic women and live off of slave labour on stolen land.
1
@Oberkommando It's funny how everyone's grandfather was somehow against the Nazis all along. Millions of grandfathers secretly against the Nazis - how could they ever succeed?
1
So the Soviets are Soviets, not Russians. But the Germans are Germans, not Nazis? Lol.
1
You are not a witch? That's what a witch would say!
1
@imdead1922 ...according to anarcho communists. Over here in reality there is no reason at all why a stateless society must strictly include only certain kinds of property and trade.
1
Nearly all did have an option. Only a minority was forced into service. And very few tried to resist in any way or showed disagreement with their leadership. To take the word of a German soldier that German soldiers during WW2 were innocent victims is hilarious.
1
@40s60sMilitaria They had to? How tf does a tiny minority force an entire country to wage an aggressive war?
1
@chrisdawson1776 US soldiers risked their lives saving individual Iraqis from loyalists and insurgents. Your take is the most braindead imaginable, solely based on sentiments of people, who are as uninformed as you are.
1
That's exactly the bullshit the Japanese are telling themselves to sweep their atrocities under the rock.
1
He was referring to them by their role, you dunce. Also it's perfectly fine to refer to German soldiers as "Nazis", since Nazism is what they fought for. Indeed, it's much more informative than referring to soldiers by their country. Lincolnite is more informative than Northerner when it comes to the US civil war, for example.
1
@davidmallon8300 It doesn't matter whether you are member of a party if you help that party to disarm, rape, torture and murder people. Nazi atrocities outside of Germany simply wouldn't have taken place without the Wehrmacht. The Wehrmacht was nothing but a part of the Nazi's machine of humiliation, terror and industrialized murder.
