Opioids are great. Problem is that we judge all those drugs by people, who take them all the time. Taking opioids all the time probably isn't so great. But that doesn't mean that opioids are bad.

Yeah that's one of the reasons I'm not super interested in opioids. Heavy users seem just like ordinary people - only a little bit calmer and kinder.

It's incredibly sad when people live and die without having altered their minds with substances. It's like never playing sports, not having any electronics, not having clothes. Psychoactive substances are core technologies.
2
That's total nonsense. Heroin was widely used for all sorts of pain symptoms and ailments and people were fine. It's an amazing substance.
2
Bingo. Opioids are great. Lots of people use them unwisely. But that doesn't mean that they aren't super awesome in general.
2
So, you benefited greatly from opioids. But you feel compelled to present it in a sinister light.
2
So opioids helped you as they typically help people.
2
You're the best person. You're the most formidable human ever. So if anything bad happens to you, it MUST be universal. Bcs you're the best.

@Ryan88881 Amen. Opioids are amazing. Be it some kratom tea for a relaxing work session or morphine when you broke a leg. People ingest vast quantities of caffeine every day and then act as if occasional use of opioids would kill them.
1
@eugenegreen2285 What's your argument? You've simply been indoctrinated since you were a little child.
1
Cooking culture is incredibly toxic. That's the fault of Gordon Ramsay and friends, not heroin.
1
@Bluey-i4b Cooks are killed by Ramsay's atrocious attitude. Cocaine is just one of the ways, cooks unsuccessfully deal with the atrocious atmosphere. Cocain is great. But it can't make up for the horrible culture of high cuisine.
1
If it's so horrible, why did it take five years to take effect, lol? It's almost like yall are full of shit attributing your failures to opioids after they helped you.
1
Lol, you're trying to twist your story to make it seem like heroin made him kill himself when actually he was perfectly fine while using heroin.
1
@CL-333 That's total nonsense. Most people, who ever took heroin did it occasionally. That's the main way people use ANY opioid. That's what they were developed for in the first place.
1
In other words: heroin made you rich, gave you a partner and a family and you're still not grateful for it. Opiods can't take a break. Even if they do everything for you, people still hate them.
1
Your arrogance is immense. You think because you have a problem, everyone else has to. Because you're the pinnacle of the human species and better than everyone else in every way.
1
It doesn't.
1
@Mywordisfire-ev5vs Jesus magically produced wine to get ppl drunk. To invoke Jesus against substances use makes no sense.
1
@altar_girl You told him total bullshit.
1
@harrychapin808 Opioids do address depression. A substance doesn't get any better just bcs it is prescribed. SSRIs aren't doing much that opioids won't do.
1
@andressoto739 Yep, according to the anti drug propagandists, the multi billion dollar international drug smuggling enterprises exist only to serve homeless people and kids somehow.
1
@solanum6039 Your "research" is idiotic propaganda. "Hard" drugs is an idiotic term that means nothing. Opioids are extremely helpful substances in many ways. Your nonsense not only keeps this dumbass drug war going and leads to pain medication being underprescribed, but it also has people miss out on large parts of the human experience by being afraid of altering their consciousness.
1
The physical withdrawal after heavy use is like one or two days. That's not the issue of regular users. Opioids are awesome imo. But some people use them ever day and that creates issues.
1
No, it doesn't. Your arrogance is crazy. Bcs you have a problem, everyone has to. That's the only thing your mind will admit to.
1
@phocused420 Total nonsense. There's beneficial and unhealthy usage patterns. An addiction is a behavior like any other and changes like any other.
1
@boogiewoogie9770 Everyone feels bad eventually, that's called aging. It's also amazing that you seem to be totally unaware of your selection bias. Don't they teach you guys any statistics or science in uni?
1
Bullshit. People, who use opioids daily, are people who are really into opioids. They're great drugs and there's nothing to fear. Daily or regular use is stupid imo, but plenty of people use coffein daily, which is suboptimal as well.
1
So? Plenty of people die by choking on food. No reason not to eat nuts.
1
@outdoorloser4340 Yep, they used to sell heroin at pharmacies and people were fine with it.
1
@PatriciaBrown1711 What a horrible comment. Heroin helped her to deal with her issues. Imagine someone fixes their guardian with a shovel and afterwards you say "congratulations for getting rid of the shovel".
