  3.  @hcpalmer  What do you mean with "deeply flawed"? Through IQ tests we discovered what intelligence even is in humans. You might as well say that interferometry as deeply flawed when it comes to detecting gravitational waves.

  4. @- Democracy is not supposed to quickly lead to optimal solutions, but to be robust against deterioration. Of course smart and informed people should have the say, but how can you make sure that that is the case? The backbone of liberal society is the strict and immovable democracy that won't bend to any despot or government. What institution could you trust to select the smartest and most informed? I'm for technocracy, forced sterilization, etc... in theory. In practice it would be too much power for the government. Democracy works, because everyone's standing on each others feet and no mischief can be done.
