Raid at least is a game, although arguably not an RPG. Estabilished Titles sold literally nothing.

That's the exact thing they were claiming. That was literally the entire point of their product. Owning land in Scotland and becoming a lord in Scotland.

It's SUPPOSED to be a joke gift, but if you don't actually become a lord in some technical sense, what is the joke? The scam is precisely that the joke isn't there. >The whole idea was so insanely silly to me that i was flabbergasted anyone actually believed any of it You CAN buy lordships in many places and there's plenty of silly old laws. >Exactly the same deal No, it isn't. You can't own a star and everyone knows that. You CAN become a lord. Established Titles was lying.

No, you're simply acknowledging what they actually claimed.

Wtf that's the first thing I would put on my dating profile.

Only it's clear that you can't own a star. It's not at all clear whether you can purchase a lordship.

Yeah, this seemed really familiar.

It was the same people behind the knives. It's a factory of scam companies.

Of course it's supposedly a "novelty gift", but the novelty is that you're actually considered a lord (or laird) according to some custom, which you are not. So it's not a novelty or gag, it's a scam. The claim on which the joke rests is wrong.

@Icanbacktrailers Bcs this kind of scam is better known in the UK and they'd probably think they would have heard of this laird-custom.

Nope, they sell larger pieces of land, too.
