  2.  @ZeOnetruth  I'm talking about public toilets as well. I've never been in a country in which this wasn't the norm. I think it would probably be harder to build a toilet in which this isn't possible. You'd have to specifically make it so that you can only push/pull the lever in one direction. The different flush modes, yeah that's not everywhere, but I've seen that in public toilets nearly everywhere, too.

  5. Depending on their income, those people probably lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in opportunity cost over their lifetime. And that's underestimating the actual cost, because free time is always at least as valuable as work time.
