@tissuepaper9962 Species die out all of the time, "balance" by definition maintains itself. If it doesn't, there's no balance. And neither balance nor unbalance is inherently valuable.

@spooniesarah "Playing god" always gets mentioned when compassionate people propose positive changes fir others. But playing god would be torturing others needlessly and bullying your victims. That's what your god does in his myths. Carefully introducing positive change is the opposite of playing god.

That any intentional change is certain to be catastrophic is a modern superstition. There is unintentional changes in ecosystems all the time.
