  1. By that line of reasoning you should start with FORTRAN, not C. Or better yet, don't start with a high level language at all, but some early assembly language from before 1950.

  2.  @alexeynezhdanov2362  That you don't need to know what happens "under the hood" is kind of the entire point of a programming language. Ultimately a programming language is a set of instructions that have a guaranteed behavior, no matter how that behavior is implemented.
