Science not that high quality imo. The universe could be finite without curvature, light could arrive at different times without it being a torus, the big bang doesn't imply a finite past and so on. But yeah, they're definitely on the level or better of most information that you find when quickly looking up a topic.

It's a stretch to say that it could be like nothing else, but at the largest scale lots of big bangs (and reverse big bangs) could be happening in the same continuum, yes.

There could be like a decillion universes only one quadrillion of which contain any civilization at all. Then it'd be completely unsurprising for us to be alone in the universe.

Not really. It's simply a sphere or a torus. The universe could be twisted around like a mobius strip, but that's another thing.

It's not just that there's an infinite copies of the solar system if the universe is infinite and homogenous, there's also an infinite number of versions of our solar system with the most hellish, unimaginable suffering happening to an unfathomable magnitude of beings. At least it would be absurd to say that such a scenario is impossible. And whatever is not impossible happens an infinite amount of times in an infinite, homogenous cosmos.

The big bang in no way implies that there is a finite past. It just means that there was a state of very low entropy.
