  1. Here we see how a religious upbringing and harsh punishments prevent crime and make people happy! ...oh wait - these things created our problems! We are breeding our own criminals in our prison industry. Force people to become apathetic and violent. People are outraged when you level even slight criticism on the way they indoctrinate their children. You don't own your children and the state doesn't own it's prisoners.
