How do you measure height with an IQ test? Checkmate, psychologists!

Those arguments are just tiresome nonsense. Go tell a chimpanzee that there is no "general intelligence". His life and that of all others of his species is still completely in our hands. Due to what?
2
Shadow Croix "Profundity"? :' D Your taste for platitudes is not what most people call intelligence, that's why g is associated with intelligence and "profundity" isn't. Anyways that the various cognitive skills tested by IQ tests are strongly correlated is a genuinely interesting discovery and awfully underappreciated.

@gfygfy9512 Do you hate people just because they belong to a group of people, which is less intelligent than average? In that case, you'd have to hate everyone, because for every person I can find a group identity such that this group is below average in intelligence.
1
@ACMCUK What?! Of course the enivornment shapes genetics. Genes weren't created in the big bang. That doesn't mean that sickle cell anemia is not genetically (or like you call it, "racially") inherited.

I don't think average IQ has much to do with empires. They are in different locations at different times and really you only need a handful of geniuses to do the inventing; the rest doesn't need to be very smart.
1
@kinglink9541 Why do you think differences in average intelligence are "major evolutionary changes"?
1
@drazenkekovic3012 Such thresholds are rather abitrary. Whether you want to call something a variation, subspecies or race is sort of subjective.
1
@okaro6595 Why? Perhaps if the average intelligence between the groups was exactly the same, but that would be miraculous even if all humans were clones. Just because enough time passed to allow for divergence doesn't mean it happened.
1
@drazenkekovic3012 >Geneticists conclude, therefore, that race is not a very important aspect of a person. That doesn't follow at all. You can have a very tiny difference between the genomes of two groups that makes a gigantic difference for the phenotype. Imagine a single defect that gives you six arms. I'd consider that important.
1
@drazenkekovic3012 You are the one forcing the issue, because you challenge the common usage of language. I don't care whether we call some grouping a variation rather than a race. I take it that we shouldn't call dog breeds races either, but variations instead?
1
@drazenkekovic3012 >Yes it does, as defects aren't what's being discussed I said nothing about defects. One population has six arms, the other has two. And they'd be nearly identical genetically.
1
So much? You mean one podcast.
1
Yeah people such as psychologists. What do you think "intelligence" is?

@darkeimp555 The first paragraph has absolutely nothing to do with what he wrote. >is a flawed comparison by your own standards since people can exercise and get stronger Two things that are compared must not be equivalent in every way. The comparison serves to show one point: that you can put something on a scale even if it's composite of various other things. >would be able to hear all the information in a video What kind of retarded argument is that? He commented on specific points and you complain about him not talking about other things. The way you try to distract from what he is saying is extremely anti-intellectual. You are guilty of exactly the rashness and emotionality you are accusing him of.

Saying that "scientifically there is no such thing as race" is pedantic at best and willfully misleading at worst. However I can't immediately tell someone's ethnic background by looking at them.
