  2. It means that you live by a set of rules and believe in certain myths together with others. It's only a religion when it's more than one person. If it's one person it's obsessive behavior and delusions.

  3.  @robertojasso1866  If Americans are a "nation of thieves and murderers", I wonder what that makes everyone else. Ironically Chomsky's political bias is deeply Euro-centric. I don't see anyone claim that the Maori are murderers and thieves, while they definitely killed and ate the people, who formerly inhabited New Zealand.
