  1. Nope, Israel doesn't want that land at all. That's why they retreated from it nearly 20 years ago and even forced out Jewish settlers. Ever since then Hamas has sent rockets over the border.

  2.  @Helios--  "The occupation" of Gaza ended almost two decades ago. The gratitude came in the form of constant rocket attacks on Israeli civilians. Maybe you should read up on WHY Gaza was occupied before that and the West bank is.
