I've gone from "why would I want this?" to elitist in no time. This is tea all over again.

I think delta-epsilon proofs are very easy to understand, but very hard to do. What seems to me to be the problem is the working memory of the mind and I think that's closely related to the g factor. There is only so many things you can keep in the mind at the same time and in some delta-epsilon proofs you have to think around the corner multiple times to get it right. I've seen people work their asses off every day in the second semester of a maths bachelor and still fail. I know that mathematicians don't like talking about this, but differences in intelligence seems to me the most plausible explanation.

Wanting to love yourself is already loving yourself. In metta meditation often there is the reminder that the meditation itself is an expression of metta.

If you don't test yourself, you don't "understand" anything. There's a difference between thinking you understand something and actually understanding it. Science is just measures you take to not bullshit yourself and no, there's no alternative to not bullshitting yourself.

I see absolutely no connection between connective tissue disorders and more or less connections between neurons. Nor of the latter and autism.

Superposition is a technical term from quantum mechanics, it doesn't mean ambiguity or uncertainty. As for "doubt", that's what science is all about. To question yourself and not bullshit yourself. And no, there's no alternative to that.

Well people hear stories about a dozen Russian tanks piloted by some incapable Arab crew being taken out by a single German tank and then they conclude that German tanks are always ten times better than Russian tanks. It also has to do with the Dunning-Krueger effect.
