@ukbloke28 that is a shallow understanding. It sounds as though you believe that being left wing means taxing the rich as much as possible and all the socialists cheer . But when you do that then when you leave government, the next government just changes the tax program back and youo're back to square one. What Blair did was create long lasting, permanent changes to things like the civil service, immigration , "human rights" , the courts that cause the next opposition government to continue by default along the same program and difficult to undo any of the changes they made. he achieved lasting, probably permanent changes to the country .

Who is "we" ? I didn't know much about Starmer before this interview. If he is likely to intensify the blairist project to be even more anti-conservative and anti-British and even more permanent then I would agree that now is not the time to try and destroy the conservatives.

@ukbloke28 Blaire's government vastly increased the rate of immigration and did so intentionally to try and make multiculturalism a permanent fact. One of Blair's chief advisors said that their intention was to "rub the right's noses in diversity" and make it an inescapable and permanent state of affairs. And yes the tories continued within the new permanent multicultural framework set by blairism. They're spineless. Mass immigration introduces far more serious long-lasting problems prevents you from implementing other measures to raise birth rates because certain interventions that might be feasible in a homogenous society become untenable and will never be tried in a fractured , heterogenous society. short term , minor if existent at all benefits severely outweighed by long term harms to stability, culture, social-trust, crime. There are working class tories because they are able to tell that modern labour hates Britain and the British people and wants implant lgbstd ideology into the minds of children and so even spineless, self-serving , careerist traitor tories don't seem so bad compared to a party with active enmity for you.
