Then she should stop trying to help this murderer understand the law when she has absolutely no obligation to. She should be treating him exactly the same way she'd be treating an unprepared normal lawyer. She's being extremely biased by giving this crook all this extra help that she wouldn't be giving normally.

@ThomasSkinnider hogwash. He's the one who volunteered to carry out his own legal defence after being explained the risks and lack of pre-requisite knowledge. After that point she's entitled to treat him like any other lawyer. If any other lawyer acted that way she would just steamroll through the trial proceedings by the book. It's not her job to help him be a lawyer. She wouldn't be giving this kind of help of how to conduct trial law and explaining what basic laws mean to a regular lawyer.

Why is this judge helping him be a lawyer? That's not her job. That's biased conduct from the judge. She wouldn't be giving this kind of help of how conduct trial law and explaining what basic laws mean to a regular lawyer. If a regular lawyer asked these questions she would just bulldoze through their concerns and make the trial go quicker in the other side's favour.
