Pro-natalism is always going to be the right's turf, just like patriotism and nationalism. Progs aren't going out-flagwave us , just like we aren't going to out-tolerate the progs. Why will pro-natalism always be the right's turf? Because progs are fundamentally dedicated to universalist individualism so they consider having more love and care for those who share more genes than strangers to be inherently inethical, however this is the ingrained , evolved psychology of having children and it's a big part of why become parents turns people more right wing than before they're parents. This is part of why the left has been dedicated to weakening family bonds for more than a century.

@tann_man They certainly favour and support other progs but what I mean is that they're universalist and individualist when it comes to nations and ethnicities and ancestry.

the ultimate drive to have children is because it is evolutionarily successful and so we evolved to want children. You could argue that we actually want fornication which doesn't necessarily lead to children, but people who evolved to want things that do not effectively lead to children anymore will get filtered out of the gene pool.

@tann_man it sounds in his other posts like he's saying that the only reason to have lots of kids is if child mortality is high and therefore malcolm and simone will regret having lots of kids. lol.

I think they care more about appealling to and converting elites than having mass popularity. once you have some elites reading from the samy hymn sheet as you then together you can use your resources to influence the masses. Simone and malcolm come across as quite appealling to elites because they have elite credentials , they're noticeably vital and intelligent, they're clearly from progressive upbringings so other progs intuitively think that they're their own kind of people which makes them more likely to listen at least initially, they're noticeably deeply happy and fulfilled and mentally healthy which is something a lot of progs lack and usually only see in traditionally religious people that they look down on.

any resources on soft cultures vs hard cultures? does soft just mean individualist, socially liberal cultures or is there more to it?
