  41. Being from the UK, I genuinely don't understand how a country can function without nationalised, government subsidised health care. Our taxes and National Insurance contribute to our state pension, health care and infrastructure. Private insurance can still come as a perk of employment or optional plan, but that just allows you flashier facilities and shorter wait times. It seems a travesty, and infringement on human rights to not have a health service in place. Here's hoping this makes some headway 🙏

My whole immediate family, from 15 to 54 years old, all had Covid, and despite nothing life threatening, symptoms were pretty shitty; but if we had passed that on to our older family members, they might not have made it. We didn't take the risk, and got vaccinated so we could see them with some assurance of safety.

Most of the Left turned away from him a long time ago, when he demonised impoverished children and refused to provide them a guaranteed free school meal, among other things. His pro-Israel rhetoric has turned even more of the proletariat away from him. Much like your comparison to Trump, the conservatives would be far worse, but there’s no good outcome here. I’m concerned for what the world will look like after 2024.
