To have the wealth of commentary available to you that we have, highlighting Starmer's lies and hypocrisy, to continue to vehemently deny the reality of his ineptitude, the right wing migration of the party, and insist there's any difference between him and the Tories is wilful ignorance. There's nothing "pragmatic" about changing with the wind. Politically he's not that different from BoJo, he's just better behaved.

  5.  @BoojayDeeth  Predictably short-sighted. What I'm not going to do is reward duplicitous behaviour with my vote, especially when there is no viable alternative on offer. It makes no difference if Starmer or Sunak is in, at this point, so maybe a demonstration of how unelectable Labour is in its current form is what's needed. You're arguing in support of an ideal that doesn't exist, so I'd sooner be a nihilist than a fantasist.

Your conflation without asking demonstrates the bigger issue with politics in this country - too many overzealous clowns, prepared to sacrifice their integrity and credibility without due care and attention. If settling for the opposition just because they're not the incumbent, despite their lack of honesty and integrity, doesn't scream 'apathy', I don't know what does, so spare me your bargain bin diagnosis.

I’ve had to really temper my engagement with this story, and the broader actions of Israel and Israeli citizens, because I’m having to actively fight the devolution to general internalised hatred. This isn’t something that’s in my character, and yet I’m feeling it quite viscerally. Reuters should be sued and censured.
