Your heritage tells the story of how you came to be, and how you choose to identify with it is your greatest power.   9.  chandllerburse737  whitewashing history both upholds and instils unconscious biases, man. Same as accrediting everything to white people, when non-white people are responsible for said thing. It may not explicitly make people racist, but it influences their worldview and who they perceive as contributing to society etc.
