  1. Upper Stanhope St in Liverpool was very much a middle class area in 1911. John Lennon's mother's family lived a few minutes walk away in Berkeley St. After WW2 with an acute housing shortage, the area was turned into multiple occupation housing mainly immigrant West Indian families.
