  1. HMS Warspite sailed into Pearl Harbor in mid 1941. The Warspite's crew commented on the minimal anti-aircraft guns seen on the US ships especially USS California. I am not sure if they received more guns before Dec 1941. Royal Navy ships when in port, if the port was attacked, would open up their anti-aircraft guns aiding the shore based AA.
