@hittrewweuy7595 They also attacked the British Empire. Another mistake. The British launched an army of 2.6 million against them.

The fuel storage could quickly be put right if the Japanese destroyed it.

@Reader Stuff Within 6 weeks those tanks could have been replaced complete with oil. Not only that more tanks as well.

@Reader Stuff At that point of the war the battleship was still regarded as king, and essential, in naval fleets. So they must be the targets. Aircraft carriers with thin skins, are quick and easy to replace in comparison.

How the Japanese lost the Battle of Midway? Pure bad luck. Study the battle, it is amazing they lost.

@tonyromano6220 The US saw some luck then acted on it. Many small points could have gone the other way with the US losing.

@EK-gr9gd The Japanese returned to finish of the remaining US carriers. Their fleet was quite capable of doing that. How they never succeeded was a miracle. One thing the Japanese never took into consideration, was that the Royal Navy moved over to the US eastern coast protecting that coast, allowing US ships to move into the Pacific.

Turn your volume up.

@castlerock58 It was not worse than useless. The next big attack was Midway. As we all know...how did the Japanese lose! If they won that, which God knows how they lost, all would be saying Pearl Harbor was a great prelude to soften up the US fleet.

They ha e changed. But how much?

The Japanese sailed a whole fleet 3,000 miles in mid winter. It went totally undetected. It then launched a surprise attack on a naval base wiping out most of a fleet. Impressive. Buffoonery on the US part.

@Crashed131963 Japan does have a winter. Hawaii is in the north Pacific.

@ritemolawbks8012 The three largest economies were the British Empire, USA and USSR. Japan took on two thinking the USSR was about to fall.

@ritemolawbks8012 "The US has been the largest economy and strongest imperialist military since the Spanish-American War and WWI." You need to do some more reading.
