  6.  @kgs42  Oh no! Not another Dork who gets his history from Hollywood. Monty advanced 1,000 km in 17 days chasing the Axis. The fastest advance in WW2 over such a distance. The Axis troops could not run fast enough. In Tunis they took 250,000 of them POW. More than at Stalingrad. The Germans were pouring troops into Tunisia, to boalster their forces to face the Eighth Army steamroller. Most ended up POWs. They could not leave fast enough, as the Axis running to Italy as the Eighth Army approached made Dunkirk look like a kiddies tea party. Now you know.
