Marx did not have a solution for Capitalism's severe negative points, which are very bad, so his solution was to get rid of it. Henry George saw the big picture better with a fair workable solution. He understood land and its resources. Then there is the debate whether Marx was influenced by Henry George as his final works take land and its resources into account. Cooperatives are a part of the answer, not private or state capitalism. In the UK John Lewis is owned by its 90,000 employees. The Co-op itself is owned by its members. One thing is clear is that the current version of Capitalism does not work. Read the works of Henry George.
