The only joyful tax is Land Value Tax. The rest are bad taxes, taxes that penalize productivity. Not what we need at all.

@andyinsuffolk Land Value Tax is: Using commonly created wealth to pay for common services. Very simple. It does not penalize the productive as they keep all their earnings. Commonly owned resources? The proceeds stay in common coffers. What is common stays common. What is private stays private. We do it the other way around and look what we have.

@andyinsuffolk Common resources Lime oil, ores, electromagnetic sphear, fish in the seas is obvious. Land values are commonly created, not by the land title holder. LVT reclaims that commonly created wealth, eliminating income tax.

@andyinsuffolk Land values alone of the UK can eliminate personal income tax. Then no bloated Inland Revenue that costs to run and annoys people. Less red tape, easy to set up a sole trader business as nothing to do in paperwork. . Land Value Tax is not a one off purchase tax. It is reclaimed annually on the rental value of the land - all land, fields, urban land, etc. Having no income tax promotes production, as Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong found - who tax land. You obviously do not understand it too well. Get to know it. Lots of the Internet and U tube explaining it.
