  2. Timeless design in where the proportions are correct. Humans focus in on the 3 by 4 arrangement. You see this in windows, the distance between windows, shapes of building, TV screens, etc. Ancient Greek architects knew this, as did Georgian house architects. Timeless architecture knows what people identify with that makes it appealing visually. Georgian houses have never gone away being continually built for the past 250 years. Georgian houses were the first mass produced style. They were designed to look good from the outside, to sell, using the 3 by 4 generally in proportions. What makes a good looking face? Why do we all think one person is good looking and another is not? The proportions between eyes, nose, mouth, etc. Jaguar get the proportions right, apart from the Mk 10. That is why any Jag from the mid 1950s to now looks good. They sit on the road well.

  3.  @calum5975  A Citroen Traction Avant is a clear 1930s design. But to other 1930s designs this car is clearly visually appealing, while others are not. Why? The proportions are right.

  6.  @288gto7  Jaguars scream 1960s but it is a beautiful attractive car, that will be regarded as so in in the future because the shapes are timeless. Study the shape, not details.
