The huge Qattara Depression in Egypt is below sea level. A forest could be planted there with sea water from the Mediterranean desalinated using solar panels, then dropping by gravity to the irrigation systems of the forests saving on pumping costs. The forests will change the climate producing more rainfall. It would be self perpetuating eventually.

As he looks at this via an electronic computer, which the British invented.

@yeshuasage3724 No the British.

@underdog_fpv2529 Desalinated Med water will flow down into the depression saving masses of energy on pumping. The depression is empty. The whole depression can be solar panels and a forest, or a collection of smaller forests and settlements. The size of the forest depends on two things: 1. How big the solar farm is. As the sun is guaranteed in that part of the world, a large amount of electricity can be produced. There is a enough land for a massive farm. 2. How much sea water is desalinated. Desalination is far more efficient these days. For e.g., cruise liners do not take on fresh water as the water is desalinated on-board. The fresh water can be piped direct to the plants in irrigation schemes to save wastage on evaporation. The forest will be partly self perpetuating once mature. The forest will encourage rain. There are serious suggestions to build massive solar farms in the Moroccan desert, with a cable to Europe supplying a large level of Europe's electricity.

@KingSteen They did many times. The Isle of Man was a part of Norway at one time.

Has Egypt looked at filling the empty Qattara Depression, which is below sea level, forming a lake, and hydro electric plant? The water of the lake created will precipitate rainfall. It will also be a transport artery using boats.

@galleon8722 Your knowledge of the British is near zero. The British were/are a trading nation who ended up with an empire they really did not want, through wanting to trade. Many countries requested to be in the empire. The empire was so bad its ex members formed the British Commonwealth. Two countries who are in the Commonwealth were not even in the empire.
3
@galleon8722 You are being silly now.

Texas is the right side of the USA. The Gulf of Mexico is a part of the Atlantic. So easy access to Europe and the increasing in population, Arab states. The widening of the locks in the Panama Canal helped as larger ships from Asia can reach Texas easily. California is a long way from Asia and Australia across a massive Pacific Ocean.
3
Texas cannot even build a proper electrical grid system. It collapsed.

For what? For civilising the world?
2
@galleon8722 The British civilised the world giving order.
2
@galleon8722 Looking around the world, many people would be better off if the British went and took over.
2
@galleon8722 Your point is?
2
@galleon8722 You have written nothing that is true.
2
@Austin-wf9lj Invasion? Very little of that went on. Egypt invited the British in.
2
South Africa? What has that country to do with this?
2
@stevecameron4700 You must stop making things up.
2
The development of the West Passage via the top of Canada is beneficial to China. It also cuts out several thousands of miles of sea travel. This will alleviate China's fears, sustaining peace.
2
@underdog_fpv2529 Your knowledge of the power of solar farms in deserts is what you need to swat up on.

@KucheKlizma You are an idiot.

@jaquigreenlees Why dig a big ditch when the depression is a big ditch? To fill the depression with fresh water the Nile would need to be diverted with also supplemental desalination plants. No need to create large bodies of open water. Best to just desalinate Med water directing the water to irrigate trees via an irrigation system by gravity not expensively pumping water. The trees will change the climate to one of more rainfall. Also the expensive to produce fresh water does not evaporate being directed directly to water plants. Any water storage can be in covered aquifers, that still allows water to flow out by gravity into the irrigation system. A wide 45 mile canal can be dug from the Med to the depression, then water desalinated dropping by gravity into the depression. The canal can also accommodate ships, so maybe have an inland ports in time at the end and along the canal.
2
Cuba at no time, ever, prevented ship movements from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic.

@goldrush5764 British troops occupied the Swedish island of Hano in the early 1800s. British troops were ready to invade Sweden in 1940 from Norway, except the British and French moved out to France.

People do not care about red or blue. They chase an economy.
2
@risingphoenix8072 Most Irish went to the USA thinking they would have a higher standard of living.
2
Egypt and Ethiopia have enough space and sun to have massive solar farms creating electricity.
2
Not really.

There are depressions in land that can be made into lakes/seas to adsorb sea levels rises The Qattara Depression in Egypt has about 200 people in it, but if a canal is dug to the Mediterranean a lake the size of Lake Ontario can be created. Parts of East Africa is also the case. The Southern Californian desert another, etc.
1
China having control of the South China Sea, does not mean they have free access through any straights.
1
Am immediate solution to stop further decline is to stop the leakage and evaporation of water in the canals. Also get the cotton industry more efficient. Is there a plan to do so?
1
California needs to implement Land Value Taxation. It will then strip all other states.
1
You missed a lot. Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia in WW2. The Atlantic islands. Many Pacific islands. A Swedish island, Denmark. A lot left out.

After Southern Ireland was created, the British policy was to treat Ireland as if it was still in the UK. Irish citizens could land in the UK and claim every social security right as anyone else. They could work and have their children educated. When both countries were in the EU this never mattered that much. When the UK left the EU, the same right are still available to the Irish. Post independence, Ireland was poverty stricken, by poor government policies. The British have: ▪ looked after their poor; ▪ treated their sick; ▪ housed them; ▪ educated them. All they had to do was take a short boat ride, which they did in their millions.

@TripleBarrel06 They only need to bunker, if they have the need of course.
1
@bigsensation1136 It is. It says that on the front of your passport.
1
@landedsel A Hollywood movie of course.
1
Amazing. Do you see Reds under the bed every night as well?
1
40% stake in what?
1
The rest of the USA buys your gas and oil, what else has Texas got? They can always buy oil and gas elsewhere. Texas is on an extraction boom, which bust eventually. In the long term extraction economies are never stable, and then fail as the extracted commodity dry up.

Just after the Irish famine, there was famine in England as well, the steamship was vastly improved reaching continents fast and reliably, and enabling ships to be larger. The British could now transport food from other continents to circumvent famines. The famine played on British minds. Cereal was imported from North America. The British invented refrigeration, refrigerating ships, which transported meats from British owned ranches in Argentina. This fleet of ships also transported food to other countries around the world. The huge British fleet assisted in eliminating famine in the world.

@MBobo18 It is best to let the chip on your shoulder drop off.

Did the English eat Irish babies as well?

Invaded? More peacefully settled.

The second amendment does not gives you the right to be armed at all times! Read it. It is relating to a militia.

No sentences, paragraphs, full stops, etc. Just plain babble.

@petiteexplication6249 Morocco was invaded in 1942 in the Torch landings. Britain had Tangiers at one time.
1
@underdog_fpv2529 I wrote grow a forest there not fill it.
1
@underdog_fpv2529 The forest will change the climate giving more rain. Desalinated water will not evaporate as it will not be in open reservoirs, as it will fall by gravity to the irrigation system direct to the trees. It was clear what I wrote.
1
@underdog_fpv2529 The have the space for the solar panels and forest. A wasteland will be transformed.
1
@KucheKlizma That is the most sensible thing you have ever written.
1
@chor2336 The Depression is not near the equator.
1
@KucheKlizma You are very confused lacking knowledge.

"Route" is pronounced root, not rout. So irritating to listen to.
1
Did you want millions to die in the pandemic.
1
Wow! It took them a long time to rebuild that!
1
@thepretorian5292 The Channel Islands are a Crown Dependency. they are not in the UK or in the British Isles.
1
The country with the largest oil reserves in the world is Venezuela. They could have a pipeline to a Pacific port through Colombia. Then open sea to China. Longer route, but larger oil tankers would drop the costs.
1
@prabuddhaghosh7022 That was the King of Denmark.
1
One of the reasons for the famine was that the land of Ireland was owned by only a few people. The vast majority of the farms had tenant farmers. When they could not pay their rent they were thrown off their farms. After the famine the UK government set up the Irish Land Commission to distribute the land. The Commission was kept after Irish independence, being dissolved in 2001, job done. What would have solved, and still will, much of Ireland's problems is to introduce Land Valuation Tax.
1
Unlike Britain under Thatcher who spent the oil money on unemployment benefits because of her failed policies and funding a huge police force to keep her in power.
1
British troops were in Mongolia in the Red v White Russian conflicts.
1
@cvk4488 yep.
1
As the population of the USA increases the oil will run out. In the coming decades oil will be less important, then a migration out of Texas.
1
@ninepuchar1 Old men having guns will stop missiles. Are you sane? You have been listening to Trump too much.
1
@852paddy They then up the charge to use energy to pump.
1
Egypt needs to look at other ways of obtaining fresh water. Search Youtube on: Limitless Fresh Water Lies Right OVER The Ocean - Without Desalination! This having large concrete structure just offshore. Using fans, it takes the moisture laden sea air then runs it through condensers using cold sea water to cool the condensers, to obtain fresh water, which is pumped ashore.
1
@ዋሰ Making fresh water this way is CHEAP. They can then spread out from the Nile.
1
Not really.
1
@arlodoyle7224 What could they do? Get manna from heaven? There were minor famines all over Europe at the time and one in England as well. You will not find that in an Irish book.
1
@arlodoyle7224 The Irish sold crops to whoever. They were not forcibly taken from Ireland. Ireland was a part of the UK, not a colony. Trade was open to anywhere, as is now. Wise up!
1
To state that the British government had a plan set in motion to eliminate the Irish language is ludicrous. Poor research.
1
The USA never stole Texas. The USA had no involvement in the creation of the country of Texas. Texas went into the USA union voluntarily.
1
I do not see a wave of people wanting to live in Ireland. Ireland's population has been one of emigration.
1
There is only about three territories in the world that British forces have not been in, either in invading or assisting.
1
The map is wrong. The EU incorporates Northern Ireland. A part of the UK is still in the EU.
1
Did the priest tell you that?
1
Falkland Islands, is the proper name.
1
A canal across Mexico looks the best bet. A rail line can only be interim.
1
Obviously you have no hard factual sources for your wild claims.
1
This vid is well..... It makes out the USA (Texas) single handely saved Europe economically after Russia invaded the Ukraine. Qatar immediately stared to ship gas to Europe to counter Russian gas. The UK imported a small percentage of Russian gas, but then quickly expanded its wind turbine count.
1
@jackhanafin Go on Irish myth!

Texas is on a boom - booms always bust. As the previous boom busted.
