  1. I have found that Americans are the most politically conditioned people I have ever met. Yet the society is still relatively open. So they do have the avenues to know all points. They literally tell themselves lies and believe it.

  2. The word Marx sends Americans shaking with fear. Marx was an economist. 90% of his work was studying the new Capitalism, a system that created a sub strata of underclass, despite great wealth creation. Marx was funded by Capitalists to do his studies - mostly done in London. Most Americans cannot differentiate between Social Democracy and Communism. In the USA co-ops are sneered by some, as there is no Capitalist Mr Big creaming off. Co-ops are not American they say - whatever is American of course. Co-ops operate in the free market. Co-ops fall in line with what Marx advocated. The biggest private employer in the UK is the John Lewis Partnership - a co-op.
