  2. This guy needs to understand how the British empire came about. The British got an empire by default because of trade. The only time they took lands forcibly, mainly in parts of Africa, was to use those lands as a protection buffer against other powers. The British ruled Egypt, yet the country was not a part of the empire. The ran matters very well and were welcome.
