  1. That is being wise in hindsight. The Germans lost because they did not know the level of the Soviet military and their power of production.

  2. Sometime it is worth letting your enemy, or potential enemy, know what level of military you have. If they know they may not attack. Hitler said, "If I knew they [Soviets] had so many tanks I would not haver attacked".
