User Name You are clearly implying Mazda are lying.
1
nfsgt500 they are amazing.
1
User Name Idiotic.
1
User Name You have no evidence whatsoever. Just myth.
1
User Name Drivelous myth! Modern oil is designed to be burnt without emissions problems. When the engines are run at a constant speed they shine, as in range-extender applications. Mazda admitted they have solved any fuel and emissions problems.

Bimmer McBimface,..... definition... obsolete ˈɒbsəliːt/Submit adjective 1. no longer produced or used; out of date. The rotary is produced and used.
1
The real doktorbimmer Bimmer McBimface, the rotary is made by many makers.

The real doktorbimmer Bimmer McBimface, are the voices louder today. How loud?

+Killerjays Rotaries are superb as a range extender. They beat piston engines.

Mazda lodged a new rotary patent. http://www.businessinsider.com/mazda-files-new-patent-2016-4?IR=T

The real doktorbimmer http://www.motoring.com.au/mazda-rx-9-locked-in-103563/ Mazda’s board of directors has formally approved the design, engineering and production of the company’s long-awaited successor to the RX-7 and RX-8 rotary coupes, according to Japan’s Holiday Auto magazine which has also produced these new renderings. Expected to be called the RX-9 — a trademark Mazda has registered — the born-again performance coupe is not due on sale globally until January 2020, when it will be the centrepiece of Mazda’s centenary celebrations. Just over three years time we will see the new Mazda. It will go bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, not boing, boing. Please get therapy.

mercedesbenzformula1 Mazda are introducing the first HCCI ign engine pistons): http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1108403_report-mazda-to-launch-hcci-engine-in-2018 Mazda have also done a lot of research with HCCI in rotaries. Once HCCI is in a rotary doing constant speed range extending duties, the piston engine is no more.
1
The real doktorbimmer Bimmer McBimface, what else did the voices say?
1
Fafafoh1gh That has been solved.

david appleton Look at my posts on this video. All is there.

dean caulton The Wankel does not suffer from poor combustion. Solved.

Centrifugal force pushes the apex seal onto the housing surface forming a firm seal. Apex seal lift-off can develop between the apex seal and housing in light-load conditions when imbalances in centrifugal force and gas pressure occur. However, running the engine at higher revolutions will cause more wear, as in any engine. So running wankels as constant speed range-extenders the minimum level of revs has to be determined to reduce wear and turn the generator. Mazda came up with 2,000 rpm.
1
Dappsy95 Mazda claim to have solved the non-burning of some of the fuel by laser ign and other amendments in the Skyactiv-R
1
***** seal wearing is not a problem. That is an old wives tale. The oil can be specifically made for burning.
1
***** I saw his video., It was nonsense. The rotary is not dead at all. Anyone who knows anything about would know that. Get your mind out of cars.
1
***** Oh for Gods sake! You have not a a clue! When running at a constant speed as in a range-extender is is MORE efficient!! The power/weight ratio is vastly superior.
1
***** Not another nutter!!!! He thinks doktorbimmer is sane and posts to him. It is getting worse. Bimmer thinks all these new wankel engines in UAVs made themselves. doktorbimmer keeps writing that no one makes rotary engines. A few pointed him to the companies that do and he kept repeating like a conditioned robot that one makes them. He trolls forums looking to castigate rotary engines. He is insane! Or paid to do it.
1
The real doktorbimmer You are an idiot!
1
***** R&D has the rotary more efficient in constant speed range-extender running. Range-extenders are part time engines. As hybrid are becoming the norm the rotary is set to take over being one third of the weight & size with vastly superior power/weight ratio. As one engineer said to me, even if rotaries use more fuel, they will be used so little being part time engines that it would not matter. They size and weight is what appeals to car makers to hide the range-extender. But rotaries do return better mpg. Bimmer is an idiot.

Mickey the Luxray You haven't agreed anything with me. Where the Wankle is going? Its niche use? Read my posts.
1
Mickey the Luxray Mazda re not the only people advancing the rotary.
1
texasdee slinglead The Mazda at LeMans used less fuel than the piston cars. It ran for 24 hours full belt around track. When stripping the engine after the race, it was good enough to run another 24 hr race. A phenomenal engine indeed.
