Batteries are a million miles, etc. EVs are buttons to run compared to ICE cars. Do a lot of miles? The economics stacks in favour of EVs. The price of EVs is dropping. The first EV that matches ICE car prices is soon to be on sale. The problem is, they can't make enough of them - as yet.

@Martinoffi No you will not, as you will not be able to get the fuel cheaply enough.

@A.Clifton New graphine batteries will replace the current types, so no slave labor.

@A.Clifton Once again.... No slave labor. Look at the slave labor in vehicle plants and component supply industries. Not even mentioning the polluting and filthy oil industries.

@Deftonesdsm Some ICE engines can reach 50% efficiency. But only in ideal load and rev conditions. In normal operation they are hopeless.

The car makers are way out. Once EVs have taken hold the ICE will disappear quickly as to get fuel will be difficult. Stations will close down rapidly. The tipping point for EVs is here. Once charging infrastructure is in place, which is easy as electricity is everywhere, even in the sticks, and prices come down, the take up will be quite quick. A rapid as the take up of the ICE car replacing horses, which was just over 10 years.

Gasoline engines are not dead yet, but they are in long term palliative care.

Million miles life. Used EV batteries are used in grid storage applications. Keep up.

mmmmmmm of that one gallon of gasoline, only 20% on avge is used to propel the car. While 90% plus of the energy in the batteries used. That skews the calculations. So that should have been about 8% more cans with five gallon cans on the table.
