  1.  @EngineeringExplained  The rotor is a better shape than the Wankel engine so should be more efficient. It is interesting in that it is like a Wankel in reverse - the vales are in the rotor. I believe the US military are to, or have, take one up for a generator on a gun. Once military fund something, all goes quiet.

  2. As approx 80% of the fuel in a vehicle's tank is wasted, the days of all internal combustion engines are numbered. The rotary can be its last ditch by being a part time motor in a genset setup in a hybrid. As these motors do not get used much they can be tolerated. Being about one third of the size and weight is a great advantage for a part time hybrid engine.
