  2. In real world operating conditions, an ICE engine gets around 20% efficiency. I believe there is a diesel engine when under constant speed and constant load gets 50%. However this is not representative. EVs beat ICE engines out of sight for cars. Large vehicles, ships, trains, trucks, buses, are better using hydrogen fuel cells. Indeed, hydrogen buses and trains are in fare paying operation right now. Until batteries become better in energy storage capacity, which in labs is possible, but not yet made it to productization.
