But he was right.

Most of HMGs spending is not via taxes, it is thru printing money. HMG can print as much as it wants. Taxes are to prevent runaway inflation. There is no excuse not to have top class public services. The private sector prospers on the base provided by the public sector.

Brilliant. Richard Murphy immediately went for the jugular telling him he did not have a clue what he was on about. Of which Richard was 100% right.

Your brother is right about your family.

Public sector 'businesses' do not need to make a profit in order to exist. Correct. They aid the private sector to operate and create wealth. London is wealthy because private organisations flock to the city because of the publicly provided top rate infrastructure.

The old myth. Most public spending is via printed money, not taxation.

Taxes provide little in payment for public services. Most of the money is printed by HMG - created out of thin air.

Sunak is going by the Policy Exchange's document. It says keep Phase 1 but ditch Old Oak Common to Euston making Old Oak Common the terminus. Optimizing train design for WCML running (HS2 trains are not optimized), the Manchester to London time will be 1 hour 30 minutes. Is that slow? No! Also, Lord Hendy of Network Rail is planning to upgraded the WCML from Crewe to Warrington/Preston, improving times on this section of track. All looks positive for HS2 fans. Why all the whingeing?

She has not a clue. Large grid battery banks have and are being installed to take surplus wind and solar energy then feed it back at peak times. So it does not matter if the wind is not blowing, or the sun not shining, at any one time.

Scotland is in the UK. This is typical of the mentality of the contributors to this vid.

He is correct. Wind and solar are not subject to world energy prices.

The cheapest energy is wind and solar.
